Wellspring University: The new hub for grooming the next generation of leaders

Wellspring University is located in a serene learning environment in Benin City, Edo State, fondly referred to as the “Heartbeat of the Nation”.

In less than 10 years of operation, Wellspring University has been able to achieve a rare feat of being ranked in the 3rd position among the second-generation private universities and 18th among the 160 universities in Nigeria by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

This remarkable achievement of the university is traceable to the fact that it is the only university in Nigeria established by teachers with a pedigree in grooming leaders. Wellspring University was founded by Management Science Centre (MSC), a Professional Training and Educational Consulting Firm established in 1983. MSC, which commenced business as a Tutorial Centre for degree students of the then Correspondence and Open Studies Institute of the University of Lagos, has a long-standing history of excellent performance in the tertiary education subsector.

In its combined Maiden Convocation Ceremony in 2017, the university graduated 224 students. The performance reports from various organizations where graduates of the university have been engaged attest to the quality of graduates that have so far been produced by the university. There is therefore no other university in Nigeria better suited and more committed to preparing the next generation of leaders imbued with the analytical and problem-solving skills for the new challenges of the 21st century.

The university, which is founded on sound Christian morals and ethics, aims to provide affordable university education to everyone irrespective of creed, race, sex or social status.

In the area of support infrastructure and facilities, Wellspring University boasts of world-class research facilities, especially a state- of-the-art e-library, as it continues to uphold and strive towards excellence in effective teaching, research, and publications. Besides, as a unique brand, the university is committed to the sound principles of efficiency and effectiveness in providing unique quality education that would enable it to outperform others in the tertiary education subsector. By and by the stars are emerging; and this is on all fours with the bold statement embedded in the university Anthem that says, ‘A paradise where stars emerge’. Thus, the Anthem stimulates a drive the fulfillment of which is found in the university’s ability to provide an enabling environment to both attract the stars and empower them to reach their full potential.
Supplementary admissions into Wellspring University are ongoing for the Batch ‘B’ that would commence First Semester lectures on 4th March, 2019.
